In
2005, Curtis became an active member of the International
Brotherhood of Magicians, which is the World’s largest
organization of magicians.
In
2006 he joined the Calgary Magic Circle, which is the Calgary
chapter of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, as
the Vice President.
Later
in 2006, Curtis revisited his grandfather's grave site to
perform the "Broken Wand Ceremony" (This is a
ceremony that magicians do for each other when a member
has passed on. Its to symbolize that the magic and the person
have separated from earth and have gone on to practice true
magic in heaven, the greatest magic of all).
In
2007, Curtis was elected President of the Calgary Magic
Circle.
Later
in 2007, Curtis became an International Award Winning Magician
by taking the silver medal in the Stage Competition at the
Pacific Coast Association of Magicians Conference.
October
20, 2007, along with a large cast of fellow magicians, Curtis
produced the annual magic show "An Evening of Magic"
presented by the Calgary Magic Circle.
